CP is actually an extension of Pharmabiz.com, the only daily news portal on Indian pharma industry launched on May 22 in 2000 from Mumbai. We launched CP on the request of our numerous visitors to Pharmabiz.com to come out with a print version as many of them were not very comfortable with the electronic transmission. CP was, thus, launched on December 21, 2000 and is well accepted as a reliable and dependable information provider by the Indian pharma companies, pharmacy profession, regulatory officials and students across the country.

Pharmaceutical industry is a highly regulated sector worldwide and information relating to regulatory affairs is vital for its survival and growth. Most of the newspapers and other media in the country are not able to provide such information on a regular basis to this industry even today because of their inherent limitations.
